Grinage Family {Charlotte Portrait Photographer}

Meet the Grinage family! I posted a short teaser of this family last week. I had a blast at the park photographing this great family. Their daughter happened to have a lot more camera time because she was more stationary. Their son, on the other hand, well… we took him to a park in the middle of the day. Enough said. He was off climbing on the monkey bars and burning up the sliding board. I won’t lie, I was a little jealous. It looked like a lot of fun. I got so many great shots of these cutie pies that it was really hard to narrow the images down to fit in one blog post. Here is my attempt at a “narrow” selection. Enjoy!

Photo Teaser {Charlotte Family Photographer}

I was fortunate to meet Jocelynn and Mike at Independence High School in Mint Hill, NC (East Charlotte). Luckily they have stayed close to our family, Jocelynn being close friends with my sister-in-law and Mike being close friends with my brother. Take a look at the teaser photos below from their photo shoot this weekend at “New” Mint Hill Park. Or as my nieces would say “Yellow”. Which, I quickly learned, was in reference to the color of the structures on the playground. We adults would never notice this; kids are so smart.

Baby Pearson {Charlotte Portrait Photographer}

I did a teaser of Pearson a couple of weeks ago. Well… finally – the whole enchilada. His mom Heather is one of the  most down-to-earth people you will ever meet and within the first few minutes of meeting their family, I knew I would just love them. I was right. We originally planned to do outdoor pictures because they love spending time with their son playing outside. However, the weather had different plans. We decided to go ahead with the shoot indoors while it poured down rain outside. Luckily they have a room with beautifully large windows! We hung out in their natural light-filled loft and played with Pearson on the floor for about an hour and a half. He was so friendly and happy. I really enjoyed just being able to snap pictures as they interacted with their son. It was as if I wasn’t even there most of the time. I really felt like I was getting a glimpse into their every day life and that made for great candid family photos. Thank you Joe, Heather, and Pearson for allowing me to capture this day in your life!
