My buddy Ben turns 1! {Charlotte Photographer}
On the morning of April 23rd I got up early as ever. I had two shoots back to back and I was very excited about them both. I needed to be in downtown Charlotte by 7:30. By nature, I hate – I mean HATE – being late. So, in my typical fashion, I woke up extra early to stop for my, morning-of-a-shoot ritual, Starbucks’ Skinny Vanilla Latte.
When I rolled out of bed at 5:45, I picked up my phone to email Kim (my second shoot of the day) to finalize some things. Low and behold, I had an email from Kim about two minutes earlier saying to call her when I got up to discuss last-minute details. After a quick “what are you doing up so early?” “no, what are YOU doing up so early?” I find out Kim has gotten out of bed so that she can slow cook the chicken for the mexican feast the way a restaurant would do it. Sometimes I tend to take the easy way out when I have a ton going on, Kim – not so much. So a quick Happy belated Mother’s Day to mom-of-the-year Kim for paying so much attention to detail. And it was well worth it, the food was AWESOME! So back to the real reason for my post…
Do you remember Ben? I did his portraits when he was 7 months. Well, his mom Kim contacted me to do his first birthday party and of course, I was stoked. I am so happy I was able to celebrate this fun occasion with their family! Happy Birthday to Ben!
